Lighting Educational Project

The lighting design for the Blue Bottle Coffee shop aims to create a calm, fresh, yet warm and inviting atmosphere. Warm lighting (around 2700K) enhances coziness and complements the experience for various customers. Located on a corner with two large windowed facades, the store maximizes natural light. Ambient lighting will use soft, warm-toned fixtures with dimmers and smart controls to adjust brightness throughout the day. Task lighting focuses on social and work areas, while accent lighting highlights key design elements such as the logo, iron window structure, wall menu, and merchandise displays. LED strips under counters and utensil bars add depth and a subtle glow, especially along the queue. Finally, decorative pendant lights inspired by coffee beans, fitted with warm LEDs, serve as focal points that blend functionality with aesthetic harmony.
